Well, here we are. Bejing, China and it is the first day of the ZTE Conference.
Dr. Xie and Mr. Zhang are awesome and very friendly. I was surprised at how big this place was and how many people were in attendance. I actually learned alot even though I do not yet work in this field. We also had a chance to meet the president of the company and he was nice, he gave me some coffee and candy 
).
When they found out that I was in love with Jackie Chan, they actually made arrangements to have all his movies for me. Up until this point, the only things I really knew about China were the movies I have seen. So needless to say, I was just in such a state to be in China and being in this country for the very first time.
I talked a great deal with Dr. Xie, he was asking me a lot about how I became Muslim etc and being and American and what Americans thought of China. He was great!
We spent most of the day at the conference and later on tonight there will be a banquet. Sounds pretty cool so I will try to post about that later. In the mean time, here are a few pics of the conference.

A man was walking with a group of men along a road. While walking they came upon a dead animal. All of the men were commenting on how awful it smelled to how ugly it looked. One man said, "But look at how white it's teeth are." Even if something isn't appealing...it's wonderful to find at least one nice quality.
