Things a Mother Might Ask

You know what is sad? Getting all geared up to take a soothing relaxing short shower (this is all time permits) only to discover I have to do a cleaning mission first. What makes it worse is that I had just left the bathroom nice and sparkling clean, ready for such an event, only to enter later to discover it had snowed toilet paper all over the place. Wondering how this could have been done in such a short period of time I yelled out, “Who did this?”. As the little faces of my 3 year old and soon to be 5 year old appear, all smiles mind you, it is clear who did it, the naked wet one. As I enter the speech mode of why we do not wet the paper and plaster it on the walls, one drops from the ceiling and they laugh. Now I ask you, how can you be serious as giant “water wads” are dropping like flies?

It is not easy as I turn my head to conceal my huge smile that is about to betray me and eek out laughter. I try to be serious and can’t because my youngest naked dude is all happy at his accomplishment. Not only is it his favorite art supply but it is also his favorite snack. I have no clue why he likes to suck on this, but I am thankful that it is at least clean, fresh from the package.

I seriously wonder how I did not get a plumbing issue as I use a hanger and then tweezers to remove the “white stuff” from the bathtub drain. I guess it’s just one of those things that we encounter on the road of life. And yes, I did take photos to document this moment in time as they will surely deny they did this when they are teenagers trying to act cool.

I wonder, did my 15 year old daughter also participate? I mean, she was the one that apparently gave the younger one a “quick bath”.
