Early mornings and late nights are what my life has become. I wonder how I can manage but I do pull it off each day. Today I was especially tired and literally crashed on my bed. I fell into a deep sleep, you know the kind, the one where you get the blanket creases and pillow marks on your face and legs. Why doesn’t that happen when you just go to bed normally?
Is it that you are in such a comatose state that you are literally extra heavy or something and these things act like a cookie cutter and dig into your skin through your clothes and skin?
I don’t know but I do know that I can not remember the last time I “drooled” when I slept ha ha…you know what I am talking about. *SMILE*
It’s late again and I have to sit here trying to concentrate on things with the blarring sounds of “My Sweet 16″ show on. I really hate that show but my D loves it. I don’t know why, I mean, I don’t care if some spoiled brat gets a porsche at 16 years old. Big deal. But I guess that is the thing for this generation. This generation also seems to be unusally lazy. Rather odd and no amount of “when I was your age…” stories work so I don’t even bother.
I guess it’s ok. I was trying to remember what it was like at her age and for my sweet 16 my dad took me out to dinner like a grown up young lady. It was cool being on a date with my dad, after all, I was his little girl and only girl so it was nice to not have to be treated like my younger brothers. Tough life growing up with all boys so that day actually taught me what it was like to be treated in a nice way. Red Lobster was the thing back then and expensive if you were a military family on a set salary with a family of six so I appreciated the thought and the special gifts I got. I got these really awesome pair of boots and one of my favorite records. Yes, I said record! CD’s were not out yet and it was a land of copied tapes from the radio of your fav’s and records from favorite movies like Grease and Xanadu.
During my little girls time I can’t really think of what is the “coolest” for her because she doesn’t say too much. She lives in the age of Emo’s, Crashers, Goths and Punks. We had “punk” style people back in the ’80′s but I am not really sure about the others. In my day we had Jocks, Preps, Hoods and Geeks. Hmmm….maybe they just renamed them…who knows. Whatever the case, the kids today seem to have more drama in their lives than us adults. To sad.
I gotta run for now but I will return. I have something in mind so I will see what happens with it. For now I leave to think about sleeping which probably will not happen. My daughter is running around trying to figure out why every room in our flat, except my room of course, is butt freezing cold and mine is blazing hot. Go figure. Weird. Odd. Hmm.
I wonder what I should set out for dinner tomorrow or if I should even bother to cook. Cooking is another thing that I like to do though I do not do it often. It’s hard cooking when your kids are toddlers, except for one, and they have picky picky mouths. So I am stuck in macaroni kingdom for at least a few more years. My youngest son actually eats anything which is so nice but if he is withing listening distance of his older brother he likes to copy and all of a sudden develop an allergy to that food he normal loves to eat up. Oh well, can’t win ‘em all. We shall see.

A man was walking with a group of men along a road. While walking they came upon a dead animal. All of the men were commenting on how awful it smelled to how ugly it looked. One man said, "But look at how white it's teeth are." Even if something isn't appealing...it's wonderful to find at least one nice quality.
