Sierra Leone

On our way to Africa!

Nervous for our next adventure and stressed, as always, when traveling with my guys, I found that our trip was quite smooth, with the exception of having to haul booty to the next gate that was actually in the same terminal.  Who knew it would be a mile to it?  It certainly did not look that far on the map I saw for Heathrow Airport lol.

Anyhow, it was a great trip and we found most of the people on the plane to be friendly and HAPPY!!!  My little Omie met a little girl..he was strapped in with her for part of the trip…his girlfriend.  They got in a fight and broke up lol she messed with the Nintendo DS and apparently broke it according to him, which she did not lol.

I wish the troubles of the world were so simple.

Once we arrived in Sierra Leone, we were greeted by a welcoming group which was nice and escorted to the VIP Lounge, way cool…literally it was COOL, it was so humid when we stepped off the plane.  The chaos was minimal and everyone needed a GIFT of sorts.

Once we were leaving the airport the security guy looking through my bag asked me, “You did not bring me a gift?”  I promptly told him, “No, I did not know it was your birthday!”  They laughed and I left to venture up the next crowd to get our tickets for the Helicopter.  It would take us across the water (I assume the Bay) to Freetown.  Driving would take too long.

So it was up up and away in a giant white helo.  The boys loved it and Omie actually dozed off for the seven minute flight lol.  Loud combined with vibrations is a recipe to knock a kid out!
