While practicing spelling words this morning, my oldest sons list has words like ‘would’ve, he’d, and I’ve ‘ to name a few. Each time he spelled the words out he would say h-e-perposterphe-d lol so cute when they are learning to spell!!

Iditarod

Waking up to an article about a Jamaican participating in the Iditarod, I decided to share a bit of what I read. You can do a whole GPS/Video on demand The Iditarod Insider thing to watch as the teams progress through this race but that will cost you some money. So I go to my regular source for cool stuff like this at National Geographic .

So take a few clicks over to either site and check out these brave teams as the mush through rough terrain and wicked freezing temperatures. I’d keep my on that rookie from Jamaica, Newton Marshall!

More Snow!

The boys like riding a certain bus to school so I don’t mind leaving a bit early to walk them over by my mom’s and sometimes they just look so cute on the way there!

After getting off the bus today he was so excited to show me his “INDESTRUCTABLE” robot !! We had to flag down the bus to retrieve said robots leg lol lol!!

Cherries

My mom began making her very yummy chocolate covered cherries today! She also made some chocolate covered peanut butter balls which I need to avoid!

My jeans already feel a bit tighter since summer ended and I’m not liking that fatty thing spilling over the waist soooo no candy for me lol.

At least I won’t eat as much !!!

Winter Winter

So yesterday was not much compared to what we woke up to this morning. My mom is on her second day home and we are anxiously waiting to see if our school will be closed for the day. It’s already a two hour delay and part if me hopes they close just so I can let my boys really play in the first huge snowfall. They have never experienced snow so it should be fun.

Snowy New York

It has finally snowed and been much colder here in New York. Today the sun started peeking out so it felt a liitle warmer. I’m looking forward to making a snowman with my little guys. I think this is one of those rare moments that I’m anxious for the bus to show up now!

Losing track of time seems so easy to do and getting caught up in life and its happenings tend to get the best of you. From two very active boys and a daughter who became ill, our “vacation” to the states turned into a temporary stay for at least the school year.

It is a bit overwhelming being back home since I was not prepared to stay. Now, living with my parents, I have a winter to prepare for. We only came with summer clothing and definitely had no clue how weird the weather had been in Northern New York.

My boys are looking forward to the SNOW!! They have never seen the snow, except for the television while they were watching a movie. Excitement seems too small a word to describe how they feel about seeing their first snow.

Well, duty calls and I must venture off. I look forward to picking back up my reading of the blogs I dearly miss. Have a good day where ever you are in this great big world!! xoxo

Extended Vacation

I only just realized that I did not put a post that I would be away for a few months!!! I am currently visiting family and friends in Northern New York and I must admit, being online happens very little with all the things we are doing and the amount of kids running around and my favorite part, going to the races every Friday and Saturday (thats where I get alone time with one of my best friends). It is a bit noisy but we manage to hear each other just fine.

The weather has been anything but ideal and it actually has felt like November here instead of July or August. COLD COLD COLD is the only way to describe it here and since me and the kids are coming from Lebanon and Africa, it stands to reason we would be even more cold than the locals lol.

Well, I will try to post but no guaruntees and I just totally butchered that word. Enjoy whats left of your summer vacations and I am sure the moms of the world are about to have big big smiles since it’s getting close for BACK TO SCHOOL!!

Coconut Day

Today was full of exciting things around our little villa. The guys to pick the coconuts came and I was very very very happy! It was amazing how they scaled the tree so very quickly and before you knew it, the dead leaves were trimmed and loads of coconuts were at our feet.

As we watched them on the first tree, we were getting anxious to taste the inside of these little goodies. I forgot to take a picture of the inside but trust me when I say, I have plenty left over and I will put up that up with the rest of my pictures on Flickr! Enjoy!
